Harbinger Records has released a new CD of Peter Ekstrom's adaptations of two popular O. Henry stories, The Gift of the Magi and The Last Leaf. These two one act musicals are published under the title An O. Henry Christmas by Samuel French, Inc., but may also be performed under the title An Evening With O. Henry. The CD features the talents of Emily Loesser, Don Stephenson, Bruce Adler and Theresa McCarthy. The orchestrations are by Albert Ahronheim and include piano, cello, harp, clarinet and flute.
